Little Did She Know!

Little did she know

I want to share,
A story so small and rare,
One day a mother of two,

Was always doing what she was asked to.

She would wake them up,
When she’d rather sleep,
Tie her braids and ready him for parades,
Those two little brats she’d run behind.

They grew day by day,
Not noticing what she’d do,
That’s your job mom that’s all they knew,
Mom get me this, MOM where’s that.
Around this her life revolved,
Nobody bother into what this evolved.

If she did something at her they’d scream
When she’d Crack a joke,
How lame, they’d think
They’d look at each other,
Make faces to trouble her.

Little did she know?
Only because of her did they grow,
She was the reason for the wiped tears,
She was the only way they faced peers
She taught them how to tie laces,
And she held them when they were made to wear braces.

Today when she asks about things on face-book,
It surprises her because some years back,
She was the one who taught her how to cook
She suddenly out grew to make those faces,
She was the one who taught her to switch on the PC’s.
She loved her a lot no doubt,
But the feeling she could never reach out.

What a pain it was to drive her around.
Not once did he think how she carried him strapped around.
He’d never walk as a kid,
She had carried him till he went to preprimary mid.
With that broken back, she’d pick up his hot-wheels track.
He loved her a lot no doubt,
But the feeling he could never reach out

What she means to them little does she know
I don’t blame her because they don’t show,
She is mom and she should know.
But every Once in a while
She needs to know, they’d travel that extra mile.
To see her smile,
And know that all that she did for the brats was worth the while.
